The Deputy Leader Enugu State House of Assembly and Member representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh has urged women across the constituency to participate actively and effectively in the 2026 Enugu Women August Meeting in their respective communities following its official flag-off by the Enugu State First Lady, Her Excellency Chief Mrs. Nkechinyere Iheoma Mbah, on Saturday August 8th 2026, at Okpara Square, Independence Layout, Enugu. Speaking on the significance of the annual gathering, themed “The Resilient Woman,” Rt. Hon. Mrs. Eneh described the initiative as a veritable platform for women to unite, strengthen relationships, exchange ideas, promote family values and explore practical ways of contributing to grassroots advancement and the overall progress of the state.

The Awgu North lawmaker warmly commended the Enugu State First Lady for providing purposeful leadership and creating platforms that place women at the centre of meaningful social transformation. She noted that resilient women remain indispensable to building strong families, peaceful communities and a prosperous society. Rt. Hon. Eneh Mrs. encouraged participants to leverage the occasion to build stronger networks, share productive ideas and champion initiatives capable of improving the wellbeing of families and society. The Deputy Leader further urged them to remain committed partners in the government’s development efforts and uphold the good governance and people oriented agenda of Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, assuring that their collective contributions are essential to fostering a more prosperous, Harmonious and inclusive Enugu State.
