On the occasion of Mothering Sunday, celebrated on April 19th, 2026. The Deputy Leader Enugu State House of Assembly and Representative of Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to mothers across Enugu State and beyond. In her message, she emphasized that Mothering Sunday serves as a timely reminder to honour and appreciate the invaluable role mothers play in nurturing families and building a progressive society. She described mothers as pillars of love, sacrifice and resilience whose daily contributions continue to inspire hope, unity and shaping future generations; with special recognition to all Catholic Women Organization for their steadfast devotion, faith and community development.
Rt. Hon. Mrs. Eneh further commended the Wife of the Governor of Enugu State, Her Excellency Chief Mrs. Nkechinyere Ihuoma Mbah for her exemplary leadership and motherly influence, noting that she remains a shining role model for beloved and caring mothers across the state. She applauds her commitment to uplifting women and families which continues to inspire many. The Awgu North lawmaker concluded by offering prayers for God’s abundant blessings upon all mothers, wishing them good health, peace and continued grace as they carry out their noble responsibilities.
