The Deputy Leader Enugu State House of Assembly and Representative of Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh has extended warm felicitations to Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 27h Democracy Day celebration, describing June 12th as a historic moment for reflection and renewed commitment to the principles of freedom, justice, equity and participatory governance. She noted that nation democratic journey over the past two decades represents both a remarkable achievement and a call for greater efforts towards strengthening democratic institutions and ensuring that governance continues to deliver meaningful development to the people. According to the lawmaker, democracy goes beyond the conduct of elections and should guarantee every Nigerian, particularly women, youths and vulnerable groups a meaningful voice and active participation in nation building through institutions that uphold rights, equity and sustainable development.

Rt. Hon. Mrs. Eneh commended the resilience, patriotism and faith of Nigerians in sustaining democratic rule despite numerous challenges, stressing that national progress can only be achieved through unity, active citizenship and responsible leadership. She urged women across Enugu State and the country to continue embracing leadership roles and contributing meaningfully to politics, governance and community development. The Deputy Leader further called on Ndi Enugu to remain steadfast in supporting the transformational leadership of the Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah and the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu aimed at fostering peace, economic prosperity and sustainable national development. Reaffirming her dedication to advancing women inclusion, protection and empowerment, she expressed optimism that with collective resolve and shared responsibility, Nigeria’s democracy would continue to flourish for the benefit of present and future generations.
