The Deputy Leader Enugu State House of Assembly and Member Representing Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh on Thursday, September 17th 2026, warmly received the campaign team of APC Chairmanship Candidate for Awgu Local Government Area, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo during a grassroots mobilisation tour across Ituku, Agbudu and Isuawa Autonomous Communities as part of ongoing grassroots engagements ahead of September 26th local government election.
Addressing the gathering, the Awgu North Lawmaker commended the people for their continued participation in community affairs and acknowledged the developmental projects and interventions being undertaken in the area under the leadership of Governor Peter Mbah, Senator Osita Ngwu and Hon. Anayo Onwuegbu. She called for sustained collaboration between government and the people while appealing to the Executive Chairman of Awgu Local Government Area to further extend his infrastructural and road development efforts to the affected communities. She urged the people to vote for Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo and the APC councillorship candidates in the September 26th election while calling for stronger support for APC candidates both the state and national levels ahead of 2027 general elections.
Speaking during the engagement, the APC Enugu State Chairman, Hon. Dr. Martins Chukwunweike called for unity among party members, stressing the importance of building a strong political structure that connects leadership with the grassroots. In his remarks, Hon. Uchenna Joseph Okolo expressed appreciation to the people of Ituku, Agbudu and Isuawa for their warm reception, impressive turnout and active participation throughout the campaign engagements. He recognized the contributions of community stakeholders and appealed for their continued support. He also assured the residents that their concerns and development priorities remain important to the local government agenda. The visit attracted community leaders, women, youths, traditional representatives, political stakeholders and APC supporters, creating an avenue for direct interaction between the campaign team and residents.
