ACHARAUGO LAID TO REST: ENUGU WEST SENATOR , DR. OSITA NGWU MOURNS LATE MRS. MONICA OKWUNERIEGO OKAH, CONSOLES EKWEREMADU FAMILY@BURIAL CEREMONY.

Distinguished Senator Dr. Osita Ngwu, Senator representing the good people of Enugu West Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Air Force  joined other dignitaries, political leaders, family members and well wishers at the burial ceremony of late Mrs. Monica Okwuneriego Okah, popularly known as Acharaugo [ Nee: Onuabueke] beloved mother of Chief Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu and mother-in-law of former Deputy Senate President, Prof. Ike Ekweremadu. The late matriarch who passed on at the age of 95, was laid to rest on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at Enugu Agu Achi in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State.

Speaking during  burial ceremony, Senator Ngwu who also serves as Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Local Content condoled with the Ekweremadu and Okah families during the solemn occasion, describing the deceased as a woman of remarkable virtue, compassion and motherly wisdom whose life positively impacted many people. He encouraged the bereaved family to remain strong and take solace in the exemplary and fulfilled life she lived. The Enugu West Senator further prayed that Almighty God grants the soul of late Mrs. Monica Okwuneriego Okah eternal rest and gives the family the strength and fortitude to bear the painful and irreplaceable loss.
