The Deputy Leader Enugu State House of Assembly and Representative of Awgu North Constituency, Rt. Hon. Mrs. Jane Eneh, has extended warm felicitations to mothers across the state and beyond in celebration of Mother’s Day marked on March 15th, 2026. In her goodwill message, the lawmaker described mothers as the backbone of the family and society, noting that their sacrifices, love and commitment continue to shape responsible homes and prosperous communities. She emphasized the invaluable roles mothers play in nurturing children, sustaining families and contributing meaningfully to social and economic development. Rt. Hon.Mrs. Eneh therefore called on families and society at large to continually support and appreciate mothers for their dedication and tireless service. She also prayed for abundant blessings upon all mothers.
The Awgu North lawmaker further used the occasion to commend the Wife of the Governor of Enugu State, Chief Mrs. Nkechinyere Ihuoma Mbah for her remarkable initiatives and impactful contributions toward the welfare of women, children and families across the state. According to her, the First Lady’s leadership, compassion and commitment to humanitarian causes have made her a shining example of purposeful motherhood and service. Rt. Hon. Eneh noted that Her Excellency remains a true role model worthy of emulation. She concluded by encouraging mothers to remain steadfast in their noble responsibilities while assuring them of continued support and recognition.
